Lucainena de la Torres is a picturesque Spanish municipality within the province of Almeria. One of the most important mining routes of Almeria´s history, La Via Verde, is located in Lucainena with the route beginning in the heart of this stunning Spanish village.

Lucainena is situated at the foot of the Sierra del Alhamilla, with a dramatic rock face behind the village which is illuminated each night as dusk falls.

Often voted the prettiest village in Andalucia, this charming, idyllic & traditionally Andalucian village boasts narrow streets, whitewashed buildings and shaded village squares. There is a supermarket, bars, restaurants and an outdoor municipal pool in the village.

This modest village, with 600 inhabitants, has retained its Spanish traditions, such as an annual fiesta celebrated from the 18th until the 20th of September every year.
